NEWTOWN TWP. DISTRICT 7, COMMITTEE PEOPLE (Two Year Term)
Although being an unpaid position, Committee people are the first line of governance. Their job is not only to work at the poll on election days but to get out the vote by letting their constituents know: the Primary Election and General Election dates, ALL THE CANDIDATES that are on the Primary Day Election ballot and subsequently what candidates have advanced to the General Election ballot. The establishment of the Bucks County Republican Committee (BCRC) wants committee people to hand out the sample ballot of their chosen candidates for the Primary Elections. Many of those on the sample ballot are fine candidates but why leave voters in the dark about the other Republican candidates that are also running & seeking a spot in the General Election? As committee people we try our best to keep you informed.
We respectfully ask for your vote

BUCKS COUNTY STATE COMMITTEE CANDIDATES (4 Year Term)
You can vote for NO MORE THAN 9 WOMEN and NO MORE THAN 9 MEN
(YOU CAN VOTE FOR LESS OF EITHER GENDER)
The job of the State Committee people:
State Committee members play a critical role in shaping the future of the PA GOP. They help determine party leadership and represent the grassroots voters, NOT politicians. They also set party rules and bylaws for their respective County. State Committee people advocate for County concerns at the State level, influence endorsements and strategy and guide the overall direction of the party.
There are 33 candidates running for State Committee. Most of them are running for re-election. However, one must question their desire to fulfill the duties noted above. Help to determine the leadership? The leadership that blamed "forces beyond our control" for the losses in November, 2025? Those losses are to be laid squarely on the leadership. Do you doubt that? Ask: Do we have ANYONE running for State Representative? No, we do not!! It is no surprise that the State Representative seat is up every two years but because our Republican leadership does not have a playbook like their Democrat opponents we are left flat footed. Democrats plan years ahead about whom they will challenge and it's time Republicans start thinking aggressively about their playbook!
WE NEED A CHANGE IN THE SLUGGISH LEADERSHIP AT THE BUCKS COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE!
(BCRC)
The Commonwealth Court recently ruled that litigation concerning invalid and uncertified BCRC bylaws must be heard in the Court of Common Pleas. The ruling effectively calls into question 54 years of Bucks County Republican Committee (BCRC) bylaws and past reorganization elections for leadership. For the past 14 years there has been a biannual reorganization meeting to vote for the BCRC leadership. It is a voice vote with the chairwoman, Pat Poprik, presiding over her own "election". May it be also noted, that Bucks county bylaws do not mirror State GOP bylaws which limit proxy votes to two per member. At our BCRC reorganization meetings every two years, we have had members carrying 30-40 proxy votes (like absentee ballots) all for the current chairwoman Pat Poprik. Our current State Committee people seem to be unperturbed about the bylaws, (which were written in 1972!) since none of them have asked to have them updated. It was fifty precinct level committee people that filed the lawsuit to have these unethical, outdated bylaws changed. In fact, no lawsuit would have been filed if the BCRC leadership had agreed to sit down with committee people and update the bylaws!!
